Mrs. Schanck taught me harp for eight years. She enabled me to go to college and play in the orchestra there and gave a me a great gift that I always value. For this, I cannot thank her enough. She was a great woman and always a lady.

All of us who knew Sarama and loved her must have this image of God's finest harpists greeting her in Heaven and playing the most angelic of hymns. She deserves nothing less! She was a wonderful harp teacher and even more so a life mentor. I am thankful for the many positive influences she had on me and the community of Quincy. She will be greatly missed... and greatly remembered.
