William Robert “Bobby” Hill “Sarge”, 67, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 10:21 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in his brother’s residence in Livingston, TX.



 



Mr. Hill was born January 5, 1950 in Tarrant County, TX and was a 1968 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after sixteen years of dedicated service. Following his military retirement, Mr. Hill worked for Pelican Refinery for a number of years. He was former Commandant of the Lake Charles Marine Corps League Detachment 535, honoring many of his fallen brothers throughout the years. He was also a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association #1098, the VFW Post 2130, and the American Legion Post #1. Mr. Hill loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of the Fallen Hero’s Motorcycle Association, Maverick’s M.C. and the Gray Ghosts M.C.



 



Mr. Hill is survived by his brother, Charles Wayne “Gator” Hill and companion Carmen Watson of Livingston, TX; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Zeboriah, and Kaley Hill; son, Bobby Hill, III; daughter, Christie Hill Boliek; best friend, Captain Lee Perkins USMC (Ret) and his daughter that Bobby loved like his own, Nikki Perkins; close friend, Kim Lovett; and many other family members, friends, Marine Corps League Brothers and Motorcycle Association members that he loved dearly.



 



He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Hill.



 



His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.

Sarge and I (us) met a few years back, there are a lot of stories we have made Sarge. One that he will never live down and one that he most definitely will never let me forget it that PINK Phone. There is a lot to the story but Sarge never lost that phone again and we most definitely know that he likes the ladies LOL!!!!!! When visiting with him yesterday seeing him in his dress blues made me smile cause that was one proud man of that uniform. I just waited for him to sit up and scare the...

I remember how you and Wayne came flying down 6 Avenue on your black bicycles and shot our 10 th street group with water pistols on the 1st day y'all moved in near us...and that was it: we were all friends. We played hide and seek type games endlessly in the weeds behind our house....and excitement and domination and pure fun is what you brought to every game...you may not even remember any of us, but...
