Not sure what to say?

He was the best orthopedic surgeon and a kind man. He took care of my son from 4 days old until 18. My son was born with severely deformed club feet. I just loved him and so did my son. He made a difference!

Out of the blue, I started thinking about Dr. Bernstein today. He treated my daughter Alanna Lynn for many years in the 1990s and early 2000s after she was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis. In 1999, Dr. Bernstein performed a complicated neck surgery that kept our daughter from becoming a quadriplegic. She went to become a stellar student and graduate of Reed College before tragically passing away in 2017. But it was Dr. Bernstein who gave her the chance to live a "normal" life far beyond...

My name is Kai Leigh Harris, I'm 15 year old. I was born March 1, 2005 but I was born with Talipes Equinovarus. Also known as Club Foot. It was believed to many health care professionals that I would never be able walk, run, or be able to participate in physical activities or sports. My mom, Dionne Harris looked everywhere for a Pediatric Orthopedic, and she found Dr. Saul Bernstein. When I was six weeks old he performed and surgery that wasn't in the least a common procedure. Thanks to him,...

My name is Carmen Lopez and I just turned 35 on the 5th. I was born with Occult Spina Bifida and Dr. Bernstein was my Specialist until I was 15 years old before we moved away. I am one of the rare few who is blessed to say that I am able to walk and drive, as many with Spina Bifida are not able to. Because of him, I have been able to accomplish so much. I have a Bachelors degree in Cyber Security and am pursuing my Masters in Leadership. I am also married and have been for 11 yrs now.

A routine elementary school screening disclosed that our daughter had scoliosis. After scheduling, cancelling & recheduling her surgery with 2 or three surgeons, we heard about Saul Bernstein. Although his office was over an hour's drive from our home, we made an appointment to meet him at his Van Nuys location. We were convinced that he was the surgeon that had the skills and demeanor to perform surgery on our daughter. Our 13 year old daughter had the surgery at valley Presbyterian...

I worked in the Orthopedic Clinic at Chi;dren's Hospital from the 1970-80's. Dr. Bernstein was a doctor I would go to when I received a call from a school nurse or family because I trusted his knowledge. He always took the time to listen and make sure the child was included and not an object of inspection. He set an excellent example to the orthopedic residents. He had a great sense of humor. I can still feel and hear the energy and sounds in the cast room when he taught his residents...

Dr. Bernstein was my doctor since I was a kid to Teens. He was a great Doctor and my best friend, I will always remember him and miss him lots.

Dr Bernstein was my orthopedic doctor from childhood into my young adult life. I continued to see him well into my 20's even tho he was a pediatric doctor. He had a snake in the waiting room that I LOVED to watch as I waited for my appointment. He was always kind, and sometimes funny. He helped my body grow properly, as I suffer from a list of skeletal issues, but you would never know it present day thanks to him, his expertise and the many body braces I was outfitted with through my years....

I was his patient 30 years ago when he performed two surgeries on my leg and knee with growth deformities. I was a teenager, but I remember him as a very caring man who was so dedicated to his patients. He improved the lives of so many children!
