Not sure what to say?

I was a juvenile diabetic in 1960 and he helped me recover from a devastating anger, he was a kind and great man , all my love for him for I’m still alive and 78 yrs old!

My memory of dr Mendelssohn is never forgotten I was in 4west ward and 24 yrs old with type 1 diabetes and he was a great man and a great dr to me , I´ll never forget him I´m so sorry I´m too late to see him, my name is Seth Roper , God bless him and keep him!

May you share peace, love and wonderful memories of this wonderful man. He was a truly gifted physician who shared his extensive love of medicine. His patients adored him! As a former nurse at WBGH Respiratory ICU, he was a delight to see walking through our doors on rounds. May you rest in peace and give comfort to everyone who loved you.

Dr. Mendelssohn did so much to help others, he will be missed.

There is no way to begin to say how much I love and will miss this man who i have revered as my biggest hero and have called and claimed as my dad, since I was 14 years old. I thank the Mendelssohn family so much for sharing him with me and the world.

Mr. Mendelssohn claimed me as one of his daughters , which made me feel so special, especially since my own biological father had not. I loved that he looked like Albert Einstein to me because it matched his intelligence. I remember...

Words can not express how sorry I am for the loss of your husband, father, father-in-law & grandfather.
In June of 1972, Saul hired me , sight unseen, by phone , for the position of office RN. I had heard he was a great PHYSICIAN, dedicated to caring for patients with renal diseases & internal medicine diseases. He would...

Dear Mendelssohn family,
I was referred to "Saul" when I was 19...I was so scared at my initial visit, but was soon put at ease by this wonderful doctor. When I was in the hospital for my kidney biopsy, he came and sat with me after visiting hours and assured me all would be ok. During my 2 pregnancies, he monitored my progress and made sure my health came first. I am a mom of 2 grown boys. I kept Saul as my family doctor for years and always looked forward to seeing him and experiencing...

About 55 years ago, my grandmother became one of Dr Mendelssohn's patients when he began his association with Dr Decker. She was an old Irish lady who told us to be on our best behavior when her "lovely Jewish doctor" made house calls. I was a child then but still remember how much Dr Mendelssohn's care meant to her. I especially remember him coming to the house in the middle of the night to treat her when she had a stroke. So happy to read of his achievements over the decades.
