Not sure what to say?

Dear Saul,

Today would have been your birthday. I remember you, like I am sure so many others do, with a great sense of love, admiration and respect. Thank you for the many lessons learned and for opening your home, together with Judy, to me. Gracias amigo.

It was an honor to meet Saul at his home in Water Mill.

We valued and treasured our friendship with Saul and extend our most heartfelt condolence to Judy and all his family. We met while I was on the faculty of Cardozo Law School and Saul was by far my favorite colleague. He became our neighbor in Southampton and Kathleen and I were hoping to retire here and spend many days enjoying good times with him. We will miss him and feel enriched by having known him as a trusted friend.

Saul served as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association for many years and was one of the "founding members" of "NYSBA International." Before his illness, he led for a number of years the process by which NYSBA International selects the recipients of its Annual Award for Distinction in International Law and Affairs. He was deeply respected and cherished by all of his colleagues and we send our most sincere expressions of sympathy...

My sincere condolences on this great loss. Saul was a fabulous lawyer, a great raconteur. a brilliant wit and, quite simply, a wonderful human being.
Some of my best professional moments came in our collaborations. He'll be greatly missed!

I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Saul Sherman, with whom I was proud to serve on NYC Bar Assn. committtees.
