I am sorry to have learned of the loss of your beloved father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Penny,
I would like to express my sincere condolences on the recent passing of your Father. My wife Terri also sends her thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. As you mourn your loss and celebrate his remarkable life, I am sorry that I was not able to be there in person; I will keep your family in my prayers.
Although I didn't know your dad, I do know that he was very highly respected throughout your community and profession, and his good works changed the lives of many.
You were truly fortunate to have such a man in your life.
It was not that long ago that a love one in my family passed away, so I have some idea of what you and your family are going through. No comfort is quite enough to replace the loss.
Please pass my deepest sympathies on to your family.
