IN MEMORY OF DR SCOTT BARTON A WISE MAN NEVER FORGOTTEN.

In memories of a man that will never be forgotten.

To the family and friends of Scott Barton: I was surprised and saddened to learn of your/our recent loss. Scott had such a kind, quiet demeanor, and such a thoughtful approach. Although quiet and respectful, he was keenly aware and insightful, in ways that were both amusing and smart. I will miss talking with him at our next Division 22 conference this February. His colleagues will miss him, and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I met Scott through Division 22. We had lunch and dinner together lots at Division 22 events. I always made a point of seeking him out to socialize. He was a passionate advocate for his patients, a thoughtful provider and a strong proponent regarding the role of psychology. He was a friend as well on the Practice Committee. He will be missed by me and others tremendously. I was stunned to learn of his passing -- I had just recommended him for a Leadership role when I was told of his passing....

We attended many sessions together and had many lunches together, often with Joann Massey from Pensacola. Because Scott and I were the only psychologists in our respective...

To the family of Dr. Barton: As a fellow neuropsychologist as well as President of the American Psychological Association (of which he was a member of), please accept our deepest sympathies and our thoughts on the passing of this wonderful human being and a top shelf professional. Tony Puente

I only met Dr. Barton at a conference, but I was so touched by his kind spirit and genuine interest in those around him. I can only imagine the lasting impact he made on the lives of his loved ones, colleagues, and patients. Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family.

On behalf of the UAB Department of Psychology, in Birmingham, Alabama, we offer our sincere condolences to Scott's family.

Like others, I was very saddened to hear of Scott's death. I had the pleasure of knowing him through our mid-winter Rehabilitation Psychology conferences. He would attend my ethics talks and afterward would always have a kind word to say. He and I also showed interest in many of the same presentations, and I was so impressed with the thoughtfulness of his questions and comments, no matter what the topic. Many others know him so much better than I but even in the brief exchanges I had with...
