Scott Beigel

Scott Beigel died February 14, 2018 in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. He was 35.

Beigel, a geography teacher, cross-country coach, and summer-camp counselor, saved the lives of students during the shooting, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

"He cared a lot about his students," one student, Thomas Risley, told the Miami Herald. "I'm going to miss his colorful personality."

"Thousands of people at Camp Starlight looked up to Scott," a summer-camp colleague, Grant Williams, told the New York Times. "He was someone you strive to be like."

The Sun-Sentinel reports that the funeral for Scott Beigel will be Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2pm at Temple Beth El, 333 SW 4th Ave., Boca Raton.

Legacy mourns all those who died at Stoneman Douglas.

Not sure what to say?

I've just heard about Scott these days through the interviews with his mother Linda in CNN.
It touched me so much to know about Scott and what he has done for the students and to get to know a little bit about his life.
God bless his parents and Scott's legacy!
