Colonial Funeral Homes - Brick Obituary

Scott T. Bland, 61, of Brick passed away Sunday September 24, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was born in South Amboy, NJ and lived in Union before moving to Brick thirty-three years ago. Scott was an auto body man by trade right from high school. He worked for Ed's Auto Body for 20 years, then moved on to Larson Ford for 10 years. Scott then worked for Lowes for 14 years, starting part time in the garden center, moving his way to full time, his last position in Pro Services. Most recently he worked for Mantoloking Yacht Club for 15 years and for the Department of Public Works in Mantoloking for 6 years. Scott was a hard worker and always willing help those around him, and touched people's  lives. This is reflected in the positive outpouring of love from the Mantoloking Yacht Club, Department of Public Works, police, and fire departments. He considered them a second family.
In his spare time, Scott enjoyed grilling, working on projects around the house and watching Food Network and NASCAR. He truly was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will never be forgotten.
Surviving is his wife Patricia Bland; his brother George Bland; daughter and son-in-law Leanna and Tyler Martin; and granddaughter Lilith Martin.
Cremation will be private. Colonial Funeral Home, Brick is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of funeral services, there will be a celebration of life held at Mantoloking Yacht Club (1228 Bay Ave Mantoloking, NJ 08738) from 12-2 on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
