you're the only fellow who gave me mink! i loved you very much dear dear scott.

As I sit here typing this and thinking of Mr Bryner I am having a dram of Lagavulin 16 for him. Like many have written before me in this guest book he too was a favorite teacher of mine. He truly cared about his students. Not only was he a great teacher and peaked my interest in mythology but between classes and after school he taught me how to play the bagpipes. I tried to be be a good musical student but he was always patient. Alas my music lessons fell off after high school due to a...

By far my favorite teacher, Scott inspired me in school as well as in my life pursuits. He introduced me to many amazing books, some of which are still my favorites to this day. He nurtured my keen interest in Egyptian religions and gave me sound advice. I was lucky to run into him years after high school and gave him a hug and a thank you for his influence. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, he will be sorely missed.

It's with great sadness that I learned of Scott's passing. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Bryner as a Mythology Teacher and most influentialy as a Band teacher at West High School . His thoughts and imaginations were endless. He offered help to anyone who needed it and at anytime without question. He gave us all endless enthusiasm and with a upbeat spirit Mr.Bryner was able to talk about anything ,anytime , to anyone. He was the only one teacher that I could remember that could do that...

I am sad to hear that Mr. Bryner passed. He was such a memorable teacher at West! I appreciated his enthusiasm, encouragement, humor and positive attitude. I still hear his guidance when I am writing, now 20+ years later! He once wrote me a letter of recommendation, and his kind and encouraging words in that letter have stuck with me during my professional development in building confidence and leadership skills. I so appreciate his positive impact on our community, and wish his family...

I was a student at Ocean View from 1983 to 1986. Scott Bryner was a remarkable teacher. It was always clear that he cared about each of us and trusted us to take in so much more than other adults gave us credit for. I remember him making us listen carefully to Let it Be. I remember vying for his approval and attention. I remember him herding a whole pride of fifth-and-sixth-grade girls into an amazing production of CATS. And I remember his nervous excitement and then huge, visible joy when...

I have no words to express how sad I was when I learned that Scott had passed away. He was my friend and colleague at West High for many years. He had a beautiful soul
and was talented in a multiple of areas. He loved books. Students at West loved his classes and he touched many lives. Aways thoughtful and kind, he will be missed.
