MILFORD: Scott M. Cocchia, age 60, entered eternal rest on December 7, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kelly Lina Djiu Cocchia.

Scott was born in Norwalk on October 24, 1963, son of the late Michael W. and Anna DeMichael Cocchia. For many years, Scott was employed as a sales associate for P.C. Richard and Son in Milford. He was an accomplished bowler with an amazing career of over forty 300 perfect games and over twenty 800 series. For his achievements, Scott was inducted into both the Connecticut State USBC Hall of Fame and Fairfield County USBC Hall of Fame. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets and enjoyed attending their games.

In addition to his wife Kelly Lina, Scott leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Phillip Cocchia of Ireland, Nathan Cocchia, and Liam Cocchia both of Milford, a daughter, Melissa Cocchia, a brother, David Cocchia (Chrisy) of Norwalk and an aunt and uncle, Marie, and Matthew Reynolds and many friends at work and at the bowling lanes.

Scott’s funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements. To sign Scott’s guestbook or share a memory, please visit, www.spinelliricciutifh.com.

Not sure what to say?

Scott was an all around great guy. We knew him through bowling and we worked with him when we purchased items at PC Richards. He really liked his job and and he took the time to make sure his customers knew the ins and outs of the product they were purchasing, before he went over the "numbers". Scott, rest in peace - you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the family.
My prayers are with you during this difficult time. May God give you peace and comfort .

I got to work with Scott for 5 years at PC Richard. Excellent guy to be around and very helpful with words of encouragement. You will be missed. Condolences to you and your family . Cliff Bryant.
