Not sure what to say?

I knew Scott when we both went to TLC at Lake Poinsett in South Dakota and other church camps in our state. I am sorry for your loss. This is heartbreaking news. My father, also a FUMC retired minister also passed away in 2016, and its still devastating but I manage just knowing he is with Jesus Christ and our Lord God and I'm sure he and Scott are having a wonderful time in heaven.

My family and I just found that Scott had passed away. We are are saddened by the loss of a good man. Our heart felt love goes out to Penny and the boys.
Scott was a solid Gospel preacher, a man of action and truly gifted churchmem. Very often you could find him engaged in defending those who could not defend themselves. Scott was commented to the mission of Jesus Christ and His Church!
May God Bless those whom are left behind,
Rev. Richard Carl & Faimly

I served as secretary to Pastor Dornbush at FUMC, Palestine. This is so hard to accept! What a wonderful personality - he could really get the staff and congregation motivated and inspired. And he loved his wife and sons so very much! What a devastating loss for us all. God in His infinite wisdom chose to take him home before we were ready, but can't you just imagine the joy Scott is experiencing today! Walking with Christ and asking a thousand questions!! Penny, Nathan and Nicholas -...

Very heartbroken. Life is not the same without Scott present. He was a great pastor, father of Nathan and Nicholas, husband and soulmate of Penny and everyone's best friend. A man of his words, selfless and compassion for people. We'll miss his smiles, laughter and great story teller. He was like a magnet that pull people together. There are no words to describe the loss. Please keep praying for his amazing family during these difficult times.

We love you, brother! We'll catch a...

Scott was my Youth Minister in Sherman, TX. Though he was not much older than I, he seemed so much wiser and experienced. He inspired me to work with the youth in our churches over the years. Scott was even kind enough to provide advice on occasion. My thoughts and prayers are with Penny and the boys. God Bless You.

Penny, Nathan &Nick.... our family has many memories of the time we were able to spend with you guys and Scott. Our thoughts and prayers go out to y'all. We love you guys very much! We will always hold onto the memories of Scott's wit and great humor but most of all his dedication to serving God and ministering to others. Well done good and faithful servant.... you will be missed!

So sorry to hear about Scott. Our prayers go out to Penny and the boys. He was a good man who loved the Lord and his family.
