Not sure what to say?

Scott: I will miss your sense of humor and your stories you told. My favorite line, "sedate till we intubate". I won't see you here or there, but I'll see you in the air my friend!. Loved working with you at B. North!

Scott, you'll be missed. You had me when you dictated a chart on a guy attacked by his imported monkey. I'm not sure I've ever laughed that hard. It was a pleasure working with you and learning from you.

I worked with Scott for many years, and was always amazed by his skill as a physician and his humanity when dealing with individuals. He had great sense of humor, and like most ED staff, a great ability to find a reason to laugh at almost anything. I'm thankful for having known and worked with him, and will miss him very much.

THE FIRST TIME I MET DR. ESSEL WAS AT THE ER IN MT.ORAB. I REMEMBER ASKING HIM IF HE WORKED OUT BECAUSE HE LOOKED "BUFF". HE THEN TOLD ME ABOUT HIS ILLNESS AND SHOWED ME PICTURE WHEN HE WAS VERY ILL. IT REMINDED ME OF A BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURE..DR. E IS/WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A TRULY AMAZING DR. AND PERSON AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE MET HIM..PEACE TO YOU DR. E AND YOUR FAMILY.

I went to elementary,jr high school anf high school with Scott. He was a the nice kid everyone wanted as a friend. We sometimes walked home toghether with his brother Jim.My heart goes out to The Essel family. I tried to to call Scott as much as I could talked on the telephone half dozen times in last three years , Scott wouldn't let his disease stop him .Scott will be in my prayers forever. John Natale Salierno( Burlington, Kentucky)

I remember Scott as a smart, happy, calm and confident young man as a teenager. Those are great traits to have so early in life. He will be missed. My sympathy and love to his family and friends.

Very saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I am proud to have known him!

I am thankful for his skills, my life is fuller having known Scott, and I am blessed to call him my friend. My prayers and sympathies to his wife and family Scott will always be with us.

While I haven't seen Scott or Jim in much too long a time, I can understand the emotions that Marc Dietz has expressed, even though I can't have that same amount of emotion. Scott was always a pleasure to be around. All of the Essells and Edders have my sympathies and I'm sorry I can't be there in person to express them to you. I will keep everyone in my prayers. God bless you all in your time of grief.
