Not sure what to say?

Dear Melissa and Donna,

This afternoon, I will attempt to come to pay my respects to you in memory of Scott. I am his Dad's first cousin, Father Jack Bendik. I am living in our priests' retirement home in Dunmore, Villa Saint Joseph. We have been asked by our Bishop to refrain from being in crowds. I assume that you will have hundreds pay their respects to Scott since he was such an outstanding person, much beloved by everyone who knew him, especially his students and athletes....

Rest In Peace, Mr. Scotty Fertal, The Real AMAZING. One of the true all around great guys. My condolences, go out to teams and teammates, friends and family, and especially his greatest fan, his mom. So sorry for your loss. - Brian Conahan (Ashley Newton Teener League 83-85)

Very sorry to hear of Scott's passing. We grew up in the same place and played little league together in Lee Park. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends........RIP Scott.

Scott was a great man, he always gave to others. Scott was a standout football player, almost reaching a professional level. Scott loved to volunteer at the animal shelter. He will be missed by many. May he Rest In Peace.

I am saddened and shocked to hear of Scott's passing. Even though I hadn't been in contact with Scott for some time, I did follow his coaching career closely at Hanover and Lehman. Scott was a very good football player for me at Hanover, and truly a great role model for his players as evidenced by the article written by Steve Bennett. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time for your entire family. Please take comfort knowing that he is in a better place and many prayers...

Melissa, you gave him everything because Scott knew love.
Fly high and land softly Scott and watch over Melissa though she's a strong woman.
Rest in peace

So sorry to hear of Scott's passing my prayers are with your entire family your uncle Thomas Owens

So sorry to read about this totally unexpected loss in your life, Missy. May God's peace be His special gift to you during this trying time. Sending love and prayers.

Melissa and the entire family, please accept my condolences. Scott was a unique individual as I recall from our days at Wilkes. Although we hadnt seen ea other personally in years we did reconnect a few years back on Facebook. I was able to see through posts, pics etc what a great human being and man Scott had become and realized how loved he really was by the Wilkes community and your community as well. I am truly sorry for your loss and remained stunned. Scott is probably hanging out...
