In memory of his service and sacrifice.

April 4, 2012
To the family and friends of Sgt. Scott H. Burgess:
Remembering Scott on the anniversary of his passing. May our fallen heroes never be forgotten.

I had the honor of serving with Scott while we were stationed together at Ft. Hood. He spoke often of his family and his little girls. He was a true family man and a great Soldier. I read of his death while I was deployed to Afghanistan and a rush of memories overwhelmed me. Mrs. Burgess, I know you already know this but Scott loved you and your daughters deeply. I am saddened at his loss. The world is a little darker without Scott in it.

SSG Charles Martin
