I am so deeply sorry of the passing of a great man. I first met Scott when he was 13 yrs old. Even as a teen, he was a very kind and gentle soul. I often have heard actions speak louder than words. I worked with Scott for many years at Arthur Andersen/Vertex and then occasionally at Jackson Hewitt. He always had a smile for the ole lady - my condolences on the passing of this gentle soul.

I met Scott in 1987. He joined a project that I was working on at Arthur. Although I was the incumbent, it was Scott who welcomed me. He brought me to your apartment after work (before any of the kids) where we sat outside and enjoyed the simple pleasure of a long-neck bottle of beer and conversation. Scott had a thing for simple pleasures.

I remember the first time I met Scott and how impressed I was with his knowledge and skills. As a tax "geek" and not a programmer, Scott helped me succeed in a world I knew nothing about.
