Not sure what to say?

I just learned of your passing today, Scott, when I went to your Facebook page, wondering if I've been missing your genealogy and food picture posts - both of which I always found entertaining and enjoyed. My wife beat you to Heaven by a few months...please look her up and tell her I love and miss her tons. You'll be missed. My thoughts go out to your family.

I Knew him as a genealogist and friend to the Herrick Family Association. He will be missed. Dale Yoe, Pres. HFA

Scott very kindly came to my mother´s house to notarize documents for her when she was physically unable to leave the house. He stayed and spoke with her for quite a while. She had grown up in Ashaway and told Scott about how she loved his paternal grandmother and the entire Hirst family for being so good to her as a child living across the street. I met him only twice but he emailed me many items about local politics and genealogy. He was one of a kind. May he rest in peace.

Rip scott I always enjoyed talking politics with you .

Jim, sorry to learn of the passing of your brother Scott who I knew for many years. I recall we first met in the Ashaway Library when Scott was in High School. Later in life I met him along with the late Nathan Kaye both shared a great love for the Town of Hopkinton. I learned a lot from both men about Hopkinton and many of the old families that lived on Tomaguag Road. Both were willing to listen to what I had to say and always had and answer. My great grandparents to this day own property...

Scott was an amazing person. The historical knowledge he had of Hopkinton & North Stonington may never be matched. I will miss our conversation at the N.S. Historical Society and family gathering. RIP you will be missed.

I learned about Scott's passing earlier. I've known him since I was young and held him in high esteem. May you rest in peace.

I knew Mr.Hirst for many years serving as a police officer in Hopkinton. He would listen intently and was always fair when it came to contracts and Council decisions. My condolences to Jen and the Family. Your in my prayers.

Condolences and may he now rest in peace. I knew Scott from the days of Republic Truck Plaza and later at Electric Boat. Life for him was all about the town of Hopkinton. He is now with those who passed before him.
