Dear Kathy & family~ I'm so sorry for your loss. Scott and I worked together at the newspaper for years together. I fondly remember his laugh, and his little phrases like "off & running like a herd of turtles" or when he would break out in song, or sing the Hudson-23700 commercial :) He will be missed.

Scott was (and is somewhere in heaven right now) one of the great guys and great newspaper guys of all time. Such a wonderful laugh and joy in life. He taught me much about the business side of the newspaper business and was extremely generous with his time, advice and support. Just loved him and will miss him. Condolences and sympathy don't seem strong enough words. Kathy, we're so sorry for your family's loss.

Dear Kathy and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Scott's passing, and wish to offer our sincere condolences. We have nothing but fond memories of both you and Scott. Scott was a true asset to the community and a real joy to all who knew him. We still talk and laugh about the New Year's Eve party we had at our home in Roanoke. We will miss that big booming laugh of his, and that smile that lit up the world.
God's Peace to you

Dear Kathy and Family,
I was very saddened to hear about your loss. I was a friend of Scott's in Junior High and High School. Even then, he had a tremendous sense of humor and a spirit that would make everyone relax and have fun. I hope that Scott's positive energy can help comfort you during these troubling days.
With Deepest Sympathy...

Scott was a wonderful man. Always the first to say Hi, How'ado'n?When you heard his voice you knew there were stories to tell. You would always feel on top of the world when you finished talking to him. Ask him about his family and he would light up and tell you he couldn't wait to see you. Loved to go to Sam's for Dunken Donut coffee. Always in a hurry yet always took time to make you feel important. What a gift he was to the people around him....Please know my prayers are with you, he...
