Not sure what to say?

Scott was one of our candidates when I once served as a TAC Officer and Instructor in the 166th Regiment. There usually aren't too many smiles among the soldiers undergoing Officer Candidate School, but there was OC Laird, always with a grin on his face -- calm, cool, and collected even while under enormous stress. This strength of mind drew his classmates toward him ... and did not go unnoticed among the cadre, as he was clearly an emerging leader. It's a shock and a tragedy to have lost...

I was stationed with alt. Laird in Charlie Company 1:111th infantry. He was a great soldier with a brilliant mind. We have all lost a good friend
