My heartfelt condolences to the family of Scott Leist. Last night I read his obituary in the HTR and realized that this was the officer I met in 2003 when my neighbor passed away in his home and I found him there. The officer arriving to take care of the situation was Scott, on his police motorcycle. I was deeply saddened to hear of Scott's passing. A good person taken far too soon from this world. Although I hadn't seen him in some time, I have very fond memories of working with him. He was with the MPD and I was with Manitowoc County Public Health Department at that time and we worked together on many committees.
