Not sure what to say?

Oh Jeez, where to start. Scott and I had always been placed next to each other in school as our names started with "Mac". We met in Jr. High and started to play the drums together in the school band and then in "garage" rock bands. We were almost inseparable throughout High School and made each other and everyone around us laugh, which the teachers didn't always appreciate! When I graduated Ward Melville and started to attend Plymouth State in New Hampshire, I used to hitch-hike down to Derry...

I grew up with Scott and was a fellow drummer , rival and friend. We had great times together and he had a great god given talent. Rest in peace buddy...I will miss you.

Scott will be missed, we were friends in Jr. High and after, he was always such a good natured person, and so upbeat. Rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to the Mackay family. I was Scott's friend in high school. He was the unusual person who remained sweet and sensitive throughout
his life. He will be so missed.

Scott-so Sticks,

Shame on me for reaching out to you after all these years.....
..and too late. I can still sing the chorus to your first original
Song..... "Sad Sack Sam won't ya do it again, won't ya please,
Please do it again?"
I still have a cassette somewhere of your horrendous snoring!
....and, could I please have my Derby back??
Miss you buddy. (Have been watching you on Facebook)

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Scott, a dear friend and former band mate. Scotty and I were in Pizazz, one of our first professional bands in 1977. I've never met a more upbeat human, his laugh and demeanor were infectious and he was a warm and caring guy. I feel lucky to have had Scott in my life. When I put together Pizazz, I called Steve Going and Gary Stone, all of us lead vocalists and rarin' to go but we had no drummer. Gary was in Banned in Boston, a funk...

Every once in a while we get to meet someone in life with the kindest of souls, like Scott. Thanks for the conversations, the laughter, the music, the jump-start at Marco's bash, and the friendship. I'll miss you popping up online with your "How yah doing kid?", and our chats. Rest easy Scooter

To the Scott Mackay family.
I did not know Scott but I did have one fleeting occasion to speak to him while he worked for the DPW in Rutland. I walked away thinking "what a nice guy"
As I read the comments of those who knew him well it confirmed my impression. What a nice guy.
Even though I didn't know him I am deeply saddened by his passing.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Tom
