Not sure what to say?

Alison, I just learned of Scott's death in the Dept of Forestry & Wildlife Ecology (UW-Madison) today (12/20/2014). Scott & I were graduate students together under Stan Temple. I hadn't talk to Scott in several years, but he was the best. My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. Please take care, Hildy Reiser (New Mexico).

Alison,
I worked with Scott for almost seven years at the Natural Heritage Program and he was special as a professional in his field and as a human being. He gave the gift of himself to all life in this world. I pray that God will embrace you with His love and be with Scott.

Sincerely,
Kim Ausmus

I worked with Scott as an intern in NHESP, my deepest sympathies to the whole family.

Alison, we are so sorry to hear about Scott's passing. I never worked directly with Scott, but I remember him as a great person from all our social interactions. Our deepest sympathy to you.
Bill and Georgie Healy

Alison,

I'm saddened by the news of Scott's passing and I send along my deepest condolenscens to you and your family. Scott was an amazing asset to the NHESP, but more importantly he was one of the nicest, happiest people I've ever know. His smile was contagious (even now looking at his photograph I'm smiling through the sadness). May your memories comfort you through this time of grief.

Scott,
The considerate guy with the genuine smile,
Always reliable for the extra mile,
Rex, from Scotland

Alison - So much accomplished and such wonderful work - such loss to us all. Wishing you peace and healing...Gale

Alison: my deepest condolences.

Alison, I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I'm thinking of you during this difficult time and sending hugs from Virginia. No one can understand your grief and there's no quick fix. Be kind to yourself.
