Not sure what to say?

I was there that day, a Marine Corps contingent operating out of Ashraf iraq and while on QRF my platoon and our Corpsman responded. Truly sad.

Scott, there are days I look at my life and wonder why I was spared when such a noble man was taken. I look at my children and wonder if our paths had been switched what would these children be like. You taught me to be a better man in life Scott, and in death you teach me every day that my gift of life is something I am thankful for. Your spirit and ideas are still with me today. I truely believe you were then and have become one of the most influential people I have ever been blessed to...

Every Memorial day I remember my good friend Messer. I remember how we will always debate about who was the best UFC fighter during our tower guard in Iraq.
He was always a great person to be around and a great role model to follow.
It seem that when he was around anyone he always brought a positive feeling .
I wish I can say more about him but I will have to write a book to describe him and what he brought to B troop. What a great person you were Messer and I know your family...

Your son will live on in the hearts of those who understand his sacrifice and yours. He was respected and trusted by the men he served with, my son among them. Be at peace knowing he is enveloped in Jesus' love and light. My respect to you and your family.

To the family and friends of Pfc. Scott A. Messer:
It has truly been my honor to sign Scott's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Scott will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy
