Not sure what to say?

I am Paulo Henrique Ferreira da Silva, Brazilian, son of Lázara Ferreira da Silva and Scott Alan Mikkelsen. In the 1970s, he was here at the Anápolis Air Base and Brasília DF to provide guidance on the operation of the F14 fighters, as the Brazilian government had acquired some aircraft. My dream has always been to meet him in person, but unfortunately God took him to Glory before that...! May God hold him in His Arms.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Scotty was such a wonderful man. He was absolutely responsible for paving the way for our son Jonathan to reach his dream of a flying carrier. I was a flight attendant for United and when I found out that Scotty was head of national guard in Savannah I sent him a note and asked if he could give Jonathan some guidance as to how to achieve his dream of flying .Not only did he get back to me but invited my husband ,Jonathan and myself to his home to meet Jonathan. Thanks to Scotty Jonathan...

I owe my flying career in the Georgia Air National Guard to General Mikkelsen's advocacy and mentorship. It speaks volumes that a retired Brigadier General would take the time out of his schedule to attend my OCS graduation years ago. I am heartbroken that I was not able to pay final respects in person. Such a great man and officer that will be sorely missed!

Deepest condolences to the Mikkelsen family. My thoughts and prayers are with you; praying that God will sustain you, give you comfort and peace during this difficult time and in the days ahead.

My condolences to Emily and the family. Served with Scott over 50 years ago when he was a Captain and I was a Sergeant- his example inspired me to continue my military career and go to OCS - I am forever grateful for his assistance. Scott was one of the finest officers and persons I served with.

Dear Mikkelsen Family, The Palumbo Family sends their Love and Deepest Condolences for your loss. "The General" truly was a great man and we are all Proud that we not only got to know him, but are able to have called him a Dear Friend. May he be Flying High with the Angels. God Bless you General! All our Love, The Palumbo´s

My thoughts and prayers are with the Mikkelsen family. May the memories shared help you cope through this difficult time.
