Not sure what to say?

Scotty, Scotty, Scotty, the world is a better place with you around. . . but then you still are around. . . .in our thoughts and memories. God bless you and your family. Life is too short! May you rest in peace my friend.

We will miss Scott's soothing (yes, I said it) gravely voice as he shared conversation with his loved ones next door. We didn't ever try to make out the words, just the tones were enough to make us all feel safe. As though we lived in exactly the right place, next door to the Mills. My daughter especially loved to hear his voice and chuckles late into the evening as she went to sleep.

We miss Scott and an our hearts go out to his family in a huge hug.

Growing up in Mill Valley in the 40’s and 50’s, as I did, I was a classmate of Scotty’s at Tamalpais High School. As I write this I am looking at Scotty’s picture as well as mine in the 1956 Pai . Unfortunately I moved away and have never returned except for brief visits to my Mom and Dad on Alvarado St. and Glen Drive. After high school we fell out of touch, but not out of mind. My brother, Doug, kept in touch. I have fond memories of Scotty, the Tennis Club, Katy Mills, Tamalpais...

I'm so honored to have known him, even for such a short time. I miss him and my heart aches for all of you.

Dave and I will truly miss Scott, his laughter, humor and good friendship at Haskell Creek! We are really bummed and so sad and our hearts go out to you all.

I will miss meeting Scotty on the trail with one of his cold margarita's. I am sorry I will not be in town for his memorial but know that I appreciated him not only for his wonderful storytelling, but also his connection with my grandparents and The Lodge.

This man was truly one of the greats and will be forever missed but also always remembered and treasured. His love for his wife and children and extended family was incredible and to be welcomed into the Mill's home was truly like being accepted into the family.
I love you and miss you Scotty.

Scotty and Debbie played their role to the
fullest as my daughter's surrogate parents. This was Shannon's second home
and Scotty was definitely the Inn-keeper
making sure she was always taken care of. We shared the same politics and view of life and even the enjoyment of good whiskey. My last memory was a beaming Scotty walking his
daughter down the aisle at her wedding
in June. This is the culmination of every father's dream.

I was only round Scotty Mills 5 times. He was the kind of person I would have loved to know better & for so much longer. What I noticed was he was usually very busy making people comfortable & happy, when he relaxed he was very funny & it was so obvious how much he loved his family. I will miss him too!
