Not sure what to say?

Scott and I became friends our freshman year at Vanderbilt when we lived in the same quad. I had heard he had passed away a while back, but when looking through a Vanderbilt photo album I found this photo and wanted to share a special memory of him. Scott loved to play guitar on the lawn in the freshman quad and a group of friends would often gather to sing with him. He made up a song called "Flush", sung to the tune of the Beatles song "Help". The song was inspired by the need to yell...

Dr. Pastor was a great surgeon and glaucoma specialist. I would be blind today if it wasn't for Dr. Pastor and the Lord leading me to him. Dr. Pastor cared for my eyesight as if it was his own. That is a very rare quality among doctors today. I have not been able to find another doctor like him. Unfortunately I am just a number to most doctors now. I miss you Dr. Pastor.

Can't replace you as my eye Dr. Have tried, really miss our sports talks

Always in our hearts and minds!

This breaks my heart - I knew Scott when he was in college - I worked for his dad at Pastor and Shannon Orthodontics in Tulsa. Scott was always so sweet to all the gals in his dad's office and we certainly enjoyed his visits. The world lost a good man with his passing.

Dr. Pastor performed an iridotomy on both of my eyes. The day I was supposed to have my six month follow up visit, I had a schedule conflict and had to reschedule. As is turns out my follow up visit was the day he died. I was shcked to hear the news because he was so young and seemed to be in excellent health. I am priviledged to have had the pleasure of being one of his patients. Loraine Hickman, LDO

Scott was my mentor in Kansas City. He was a great teacher for residents and attendings alike. When I heard he took the position I was applying for in Atlanta, I was relieved that it was him because he deserved the best. We will miss your nice smile Scott! Rest In Peace old friend until we meet again.
Your friend Pierre.

I have been a patient of Scott Pastor since '97 -'98 & I just found out today about his passing. I am stunned & so sad for his family.

He was incredibly insightful about "difficult patients" like me.

True story:
I was assigned to a project that required remote duty for several years but I continued to fly in & would see Scott on an ad hoc basis to get my meds renewed.

I would never make appointments. I would just show up @ 7AM & pretend that I had a 7:30 appointment....
