Scott Plate

He was a great friend of mine; we played together @ Avispones when he was in Monterrey Mexico. We'll always remember what a great football player, and a much better person he was. God bless.

I played with Scott Plate back in 1982 @Avispones (Monterrey, N.L. Mexico). He was our HB, and one of the best players I've played with in my entire life. I'm very sorry for this news. If possible, I would like for you to share with me a phone number or an email account were I can reach his family in order to give them our condolences. I met Scott only a couple of times. I am a Toledo fire fighter and met him during two different non life threatening medical calls. He was certainly enthusiastic about his Iowa football days showing me his Hawkeye tattoo on our drive to the hospital and talking nonstop about several big games. I am saddened and extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.

Anyone who has lived in Jackson long enough knows the Plate name and football go hand in hand. Great memories of those CC teams. Thank you Scott and my sympathy to the entire Plate family.
