Not sure what to say?

Dear Richards family,
I am so sorry for your loss, Scott was a great friend. I met Scott in 1992 thru Shaun McDuffee and for the 2 years I lived in minneapolis I enjoyed the times we got hang out together. Scott always had a positive attitude and nothing ever got him down, and I have taken that attitude in my life. I know I'm a better person today for having known Scott. I'm so sorry for your loss. Don Hron

Richards family, I was deeply saddened by Scott's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him while caring for him at Mayo, and it was through him that I was able to reconnect with his sister-in-law and my friend Kara after so many years. After meeting Michelle and seeing the deep love and devotion they had for each other, I knew I was honored to have met such an impressive man! I will be praying for God's willful guidance and strength for all Scott's family and friends.

Dear Richards Family,

Scott's faith and passion for his family, community and career has deeply impacted my life. He has taught me that you can have peace when you completely turn your will over to the care of God. His courage that he held when facing his disease was an inspiration and remarkable. Our short time at the American College together made it clear to me that his belief in God and love for his wife and children were the guiding forces in Scott's life. My prayers go out...

Richards Family -
My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of difficulty. Though the whole experience has been trying I am sure, God has brought Scott to a better place to take care of you even more so now.

I played football with Scott at HM, he was a year ahead of me. He took me in at North Star to discuss what it took to be a rep, though I never followed through, Scott was an incredible guy!

I struggle with words and what to say - only as my sister lost...

Phil, Cue, Kip and Schristina:

My dad just called me regarding Scott. My heart sank. Our family expresses its sincere condolances in your loss of this wonderful businessman and father. Scott, Kip and I had some great fun growing up on Swede Hill, and I will always hold those memories tightly. I lost my mom, Audrey, to complications from Myelodysplastic Syndrome on November 11, 2007. Unfortunately, I know all too well how MDS and AML affect those we love. My heart goes out to all of...

Phil,

Of the family members you and Scott are the ones I know. I was not able to attend the visitation but attended the funeral and was most impressed, especially with Kip's thoughts.

I served on the NAIFA Board with Scott and met with you and Scott at the Don Schoeller Winter Carnival event among other events.

Between fathers and sons most things are caught, not taught. Scott was a great example of the gentleman that you are Phil.

I had dinner with Scott in San...

Phil Richards & Family,

My deepest sympathy for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Scott was unique. He loved learning and venturing into unchartered areas of knowledge, and he had the capacity to 'get it'. I enjoyed him in the MSM as a very bright light of leadership. My wife, Molly, who was his classmate and I are saddened by his passing.

Richards family,

I knew Scott during his participation in the first MSM program in Leadership at the American College in 2006. He was very passionate about the financial services industry and proud of the professional legacy within the financial services industry that he and his family had achieved over the years.

Scott's participation in the first MSM program has helped make this one of the most important programs offered at the American College.

I am very sorry about...
