Not sure what to say?

When I was child in the mid 1980s, I was hospitalized at Loyola for several months because of intestinal issues. Every day was pretty much the same at the hospital, sad and uneventful. Then one day a player from the Chicago Cubs came to visit me and gave me a Cubs helmet and some baseball cards. We talked and he asked about my interests and he talked to me about playing for the Cubs. That was the only happy day I can recall at the hospital. There were no cameras, no media, just this baseball...

Cathleen and family, my sincere condolences on your loss of Scott. I have not seen you since the birth of your first child. We knew each other through the horses (Dude and Ringo). But I know how much love you and Scott shared I just had to let you in know I am sending you healing thoughts at this difficult time.

Blessings to the entire Sanderson family and extended family.
Had the privilege to compete against Scott in H.S. basketball with my Highland Park High team. We had some spirited battles against Scott, Ted and his GBN teammates . Yet,we enjoyed an off the court friendship and always with great respect and admiration in his athletic accomplishments in multiple sports ,as well as his professional athletic and personal accomplishments in his life. A true gentleman, a truly class act. Fun to...

I wish to offer my condolences to the entire Sanderson family. I ran a video store right around the corner from Ancient Tree when I met Scott. What an incredible person. I have a baseball signed by Scott that has been sitting out in my house for nearly 30 years. On it, he put " to my old pal Mike, all my best." That's the kind of person Scott was; always giving his best.

Cathleen and family. My deepest condolences to you on Scott's passing. It touched me greatly. I ran into you and Scott at Herman's Sporting Goods in early 1980s while you were looking for tennis rackets and i was working there. I recounted a story about facing Scott in American Legion Baseball. I was a bench sitter and during a one game play-off i got up to bat for my only time that summer against Scott. Its one of my favorite stories about my touch with "greatness". You and Scott are...

Really appreciated Scott's humble and kind spiritual experiences he shared with us at Men's Fraternity / Christ Church Lake Forest and all those who had the chance to meet and know him. You will be missed by many. Thank you God and Scott.

My father Hank and I appreciated you and Kerry Wood agreeing that we need electronic balls and strike counters during the playoffs and world series moving forward at the Men's dinner last year.

To Scott's Family. I am saddened to hear of Scott's passing, but joyful that he new the Lord Jesus! I know he will be sorely missed, but I pray that his Friends & Family are celebrating Scott's Eternity the God of the Universe. Blessings. Amen.
