Not sure what to say?

My husband and I are members of the Salem Speedway (southern Indiana) safety team. Due to a rainout of that particular evening's sprint car race we were blessed with meeting Scott. With us were our 2 foster children. Scott 'took our boys under his wings' - giving them a sprint car tire. I often joked with Scott that, that 'free' tire cost me $45.00 for the glass top for it. Our boys sent him race car pictures they'd drawn of his sprinter and pictures of themselves which he said he put up...

We knew Scott for 20 years. We were neighbors, friends and like family. Scott was always there for us - "that's what friends can do"- a favorite saying we shared. We have very many fond memories of him which helps us through this difficult time. He was a happy, loving, caring guy that made racing his true love. I know he left this world doing what he loved but I wish we had just one more day. Our prayers and thoughts go to all that knew him and loved him as we did.

Oh Scott, you were such a good man! Scott was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off of his back.I first met Scott while working for Carstar. From there he became my boss at the daycare center in Cedar. When the center went under I transfered with Theresa and Holly over to Scotts house. He would always make it apoint to come in the center every morning to say hello and ask me how my life was going. He was so kind and considerate. My husband and I would often go up to his house on my...

The name I had always known. Then about two years ago I got to know the friend and racer Scott was. I enjoyed the funny emails he passed on and the stories of racing we shared. Always will remember the smile when he was racing and I knew he was looking forward to this year. Thanks Scott for allowing me to know you the short time, I did.

My daughter has wonderful memories of Scott from the days she went to daycare with Miss Theresa. We share the family's sorrow for this tragic loss.

I only knew you for a short time, Scott. I have wished many times that I would have not been so shy, nervous, along with saying all the wrong things as I did, when talking with you. As you knew I am an avid Nascar fan and only wanted to be one of your biggest fans but, most of all a true friend. This is a great tradgedy and loss for your family, crew and friends, you will be greatly missed. My heart and prayers goes out to all.

My deepest sympathy to Scott's family. He was a very sweet man and will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I missed an opportunity to meet Scott, because we both were to shy I assmumed...I'm sorry I did. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and friends.
