Scott C. Sobol, 50, of Amherst Twp., passed away suddenly June 19, 2016.

Scott was born on July 10, 1965 in Chicago, IL. He moved to Bay Village in 1972, and Avon Lake in 1978 prior to residing in Amherst Twp. since 2007.

He was a truck driver for USF Holland, often receiving recognition for his perfect driving record. He enjoyed boating, fishing, tinkering, could fix anything and was a hell of a mechanic. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter, Samantha.

Scott is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Susan (nee Andrews); daughter, Samantha; father, Frank; siblings, Mary Pat Muller, Tim and Julie; a niece; two nephews and one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (nee Monzel).

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain 44055 with Rev. William A. Thaden, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are kindly suggested towards the Scott Sobol Memorial Fund, via any branch of First Merit Bank, where an account has been established to benefit Samantha's education.
