Scott Bruce Van Leuven

Mr. Scott Bruce Van Leuven, age 41, of Rome, GA, passed away at Mount Berry Hospice Friday, May 27, 2016.

Mr. Van Leuven was born in Leesburg, Florida on November 9, 1974. He graduated from Rome High School and attended Jacksonville State University. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome. He worked at several restaurants over the years after being trained by the Darden Incorporated Group to be a Sous-Chef.

Survivors include his father and mother, Bruce and Joyce Van Leuven of Rome; one sister, Melissa Bennett of Dallas, GA; one brother-in-law, Michael Bennett; one brother, Todd Van Leuven of Rome; three nephews, Thomas, Hunter and Taylor Bennett of Dallas, GA.; one niece Hayley Bennett of Dallas GA.; former wife, Teresa Hinrichs; one son, Jordan Hinrichs; and fiancé, Linda Smith.

A memorial service was held Thursday June 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Rome with Rev. Bill Pardue officiating. The family received friends Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Daniel's Funeral Home.
