Scott was an asset to wildlife as we Montanas know it. We will miss him but his memories live on.

I manage a flyshop in TN, when someone would come in wanting a good read, i'd point to Travers Corners, what a great escape.
For those of you that knew Scott personally, it had to be an honor, my condolences to the family, i am sure you were more touched with his presence & life than i was by his stories & i'm truly grateful for being able to share those through his writings.

My father told a young precocious and loquacious Scott that he should write a book! I'm thankful that Scott wrote those books. We will always be able to share stories and be able to be with him whenever we want. Scott was an amazing person and I will miss him.

I am truly honored to say that I knew Scott. Seeing him brightened my day and his humor and the twinkle in his eyes is what I will remember most. It is a great loss to the Ruby Valley and he will be missed by many.

Scott was a pleasure to know and glad he loved the area that we love. We're happy he was able to write his book before permanently leaving the valley. Howard and Irene Chrest

Scott Waldie--a remarkable, integrated man who lived life passionately as it should be lived...every day, troubled or not, for its own particular beauty. He loved people, rivers and stories in exactly the same way. My sons and I were lucky to be touched by his friendship..we will miss him.

A well written obit, for a well rounded guy. Always a pleasure to be around for a laugh, a tear, or an observation on how to hold onto this big ball, while it spins so fast. Loved him dearly...
