Not sure what to say?

It is 2019 and I still have a hard time believing Sean is gone from this earth. He was my friend, my son by osmosis, and an all around good guy. I loved his Star Trek stories (Jordy La Forgery) and discussions about everything. I know I will see him again on the next plane of life.

Sean and I served together at Camp Morerrell in 05-06. How true my friend, what others have spoken about you. You have helped me in so many ways in such a short mount of time. We worked well with each other. The other day, I was told by the IT support that you had used so much bandwidth on the servers by pulling up movie trailers that they were about to shut you down. I asked if they would reconsider, and ultimately they gave you additional gig to use. You earned that. You had been...

I was Camp Czar at Camp Morell for the 22/25 NCR where Sean died. He was my right hand computer guy. No matter what hour I called him to fix a computer problem he was always joyful and upbeat. He loved the seabees and the navy. He would have made one hell of a Chief. One time on deployment the 29th of December he was working on my computer and I told him it was my 30th wedding anniversary. He stopped what he was doing and looked at me and said Master Chief Tell me your secret in staying...

I am sorry for the loss of Sean, which I am only learning about today because of this website. Even though I did not know him personally, I will forever be in appreciation for his service to this nation.

Sean & I became good friends in 1985 when we were attending college in Missouri. We kept in touch via phone, letters, & e-mails. No matter how much time went by, our friendship was always strong. I looked him up in Facebook this morning, because I hadn't heard from him in a long time, only to learn the devastating news that my friend of 25 years had passed away. Sean will forever have a special place in my heart; I will never forget his big hugs & warm, sweet smile.

This message may have been delayed some months, but is no less heartfelt than all those prior from Sean's many friends. He obviously touched very many people, as he did me, and I only knew him briefly via the SS Joshua long years ago. Sean Caughman is unforgettable! In the too-short time I knew him, he made such a strong, postive impression & a difference in my life. One of the kindest & most generous people I'd ever met. And fun, too! I really thought he WAS Geordi La Forge when I first...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you peace and comfort to ease your pain. God Bless you and yours.

Sean, you will be so missed. I thought of you often. You were a good friend to many. The last day we saw each other was at JC Penny's the day before Bryan's second wedding. God Bless you and your family, you are truly missed.

As I was just notified by a mutual friend...with in the last couple days...I could not believe "OUR" Laforge from the BBS days is gone. My love and prayers go out to all his family and friends. In Red's Tavern your chair is leaned against the table next to Hissa's. Sean you will be missed. Love you, my friend.
