Red Sox and Best Friends
Sean Lynch was the uncle with the cool cars.
The fourth of five siblings, Mr. Lynch, 34, took joy in watching his nephews' soccer games and playing tic-tac-toe with his nieces. Then he would be off, often taking trips to other cities with friends to attend sporting events. One year it was the Super Bowl, another year the Final Four.
Mr. Lynch went to college in Boston. A devoted Red Sox fan, he counted among his accomplishments converting his best friend at Cantor Fitzgerald, a lifelong Yankee fan, to a Red Sox devotee.
Mr. Lynch had known since high school that he wanted to be a stockbroker, and shortly before Sept. 11 he was promoted to senior vice president for equity trading. "He used to say he was paid to hang out with his friends," said his older brother, Mike. "He loved it."
Profile published in THE NEW YORK TIMES on December 31, 2001.

It’s been years for me to have the courage to come forward but I am coming forward. I was one of the last people to see your son Sean. I am a survivor of WTC. There are no words to express the sorrow or expression of condolences of the tremendous loss the family has felt over the years. Sean was a wonderful individual. Feel free to reach out to me and I will communicate privately to the family of Sean. God speed.

I met Sean my freshman year at Boston College. We lived off campus in an the same apartment building. Not too many freshman lived off campus, so we had an immediate bond. We got to know each other well during this year.
We said a family Rosary for Sean and all those who died in this horrific attack.
May God bless you Sean.
