Sean O’Rourke SARATOGA SPRINGS - Sean O’Rourke, 77, a longtime resident of Saratoga Springs passed away on June 14, 2015. He was a Marine who proudly gave a “SEMPER FI” to any fellow Marines he met. Like his dad, Sean was a member of the Knights of Columbus and often volunteered his cooking skills for their fund raisers. He grew up in Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, a choirboy in St. Patrick’s Church, and a worker in his family’s grocery store. Later, he was a co-owner of Shore Supermarkets in Breezy Point, NY. A self-made man, Sean always had a few business plans in the works. He and his wife, Ellen, and their two children lived in Breezy Point and Windham (in the Catskill mountains), and later settled in Saratoga. Sean loved to spend time at the the ocean and the mountains equally. He also loved people and greeted everyone with a ready smile and a welcoming handshake. He was unfailingly proud of his family. Sean lived his life the best he could, devoted to his family and his God. Mr. O’Rourke was preceded in death by his loving parents Mark and Kathleen and his brother Brian. He is survived by his beloved wife Ellen and his loving children Sean (Danielle) and Patricia (Chris) and four grandchildren: Conor, Emma, Callan and Madalyn. He is also survived by his loving brother and sisters: Mark O’Rourke (Christine), Anna Mary Norton (Chris), Kathleen Lang (Thomas) and Patsy Tully (Art) and many loving nieces and nephews. He will live forever in our hearts until we meet again. A wake will take place on Monday, June 22, from 5:00-8:00 pm at William J. Burke and Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
