Tonight, I was devastated to learn that my longtime friend, Sully, had passed away more than two months ago. My heart is crushed. Sully and I were best pals at UCONN, where we were both Econ majors and in the same classes. We spent a good part of the summer of 1984 with my Irish relatives in Limerick and in London, and then we were roommates after college, when he followed me up to Boston. We lived in his beautiful late Mom's waterfront condo in the North End. I was in law school and he...

Absolutely crushed to hear of Sean's passing. We were partners-in-crime during his time in Boston in the 90's and one of the best weekends I've ever had in Newport, RI was with him and others for JazzFest - still remember him dancing to Bruce Hornsby as he played a couple of Grateful Dead tunes. My thoughts go out to Riley and all of Seans family and friends. A true loss.

There are things of which I may not speak;       There are dreams that cannot die; There are thoughts that make the strong heart weak, And bring a pallor into the cheek,       And a mist before the eye.             And the words of that fatal song             Come over me like a chill:       "A boy's will is the wind's will, And the thoughts of youth are long, long thoughts." (Longfellow)

I worked with Sully for several years at Eze Castle. He was an outstanding colleague; warm, funny, and hard-working. One night he took several of us to Peter Luger's steakhouse in Brooklyn where we enjoyed a great steak dinner and filled with laughs and life lessons. I had tremendous respect for Sully and remained in touch following days at Eze. I'm terribly sorry to learn of his passing. He will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Sully's family and loved ones.

Sean loved Riley so much. He was a great and loving dad. I will never forget Sean and our long friendship dating back to what was Dean Witter!
