Sebastian "Bash" Licata, 93, passed away peacefully at his home in Clermont, Florida on November 30th, 2022.

The son of John and Antoinette (Valenti) Licata, he was born on November 4th, 1929 in Fairview, New Jersey. He attended Cliffside Park High School and Stevens Institute in New Jersey, before serving in the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean War and was the cook for the 25th Signal Company near the front lines.

Upon his return, he worked in the family business (Licata Meats) with his father and four brothers, Joseph, Santo, John, and Peter. He married his wife Jeanne in 1964, moving years later to Palmyra, Pennsylvania for a job opportunity. He was a natural salesman, and worked a few jobs while there, including Maloney Menswear in Hershey.

He and his wife retired to Florida in 2003, where he enjoyed spending time playing pool, cards, and bocce. He is remembered lovingly by family and friends as a sharp dresser with a sense of humor.

Sebastian is survived by his wife Jeanne (Lantzy) Licata of Clermont, FL; his three children, son Michael Licata and his wife Elizabeth of Orlando, FL; daughter Catherine McCarthy and her husband Darrin of Framingham, MA; son Nicholas Licata of Cape Canaveral, FL; four grandchildren Meghan, Keira, Giovanni, and Marcello; brother Peter Licata and his wife Carol of Ridgefield, NJ; and sister-in-law Melanie Licata of Niskayuna, NY.

He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Licata and his wife Mary Licata; brother John Licata; and his brother Santo Licata.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
