Thinking about Mrs. Lathon all week knowing that her Birthday was coming up today.. I would have called her to hear her voice, that for me had never changed over the years .. She would have said how good it was to her my voice and I would say hearing yours is even better .. This ceramic peacock was something that she wanted me have when I last saw her .. Reflecting with a smile and tears what an awesome childhood I had growing up living next door to the Lathon Family for 9 years .. Jo Ann and I were best friends and Mrs. Lathon treated me just like one of her children .. I cherish the memories of the backyard Bar Ba Q's, home made ice cream & cinnamon rolls, the big pitcher of Kool-aid in the refrig and playing Monopoly at the dining room table .. I was so blessed that after 35 years I made it back to Flint (2016) and saw Mrs. Lathon, Polly,...

It was always great going to Ms Lathon house. You could always get a hot meal, a hug and nothing but love. A genuinely loving lady. She will be missed but always loved. RIP Angel
