I met Selene through my daughter, Jessica, when they were roommates in NY.
Whenever I would visit there, if Selene was around, we would share a meal, take a walk or just catch up. She always struck me as a sweet, kind, generous spirit, with a quirky sense of humor, and contagious laugh. I'll always remember, with a smile, a time when we were having a conversation in the living room of her apartment. So very sad. My prayers are with the Anderson and Haugen families. Selene was the sweetest kid in the neighborhood with her ever-ready and infectious smile. She will be greatly missed.

I have nothing but good memories of Selene. I will be sure to walk, run, bike, and swim for the cure in honor of Selene. My condolences to Liz and Deborah.

I did not know her, but I do remember seeing her beautiful face in high school. She graduated before me and to this day, her face stands out. True beauty inside and out!

Selene will be missed. I was able to stay in contact with her over the years and am grateful for this. She came to visit me in high school in CA (even attended my prom) and in college in Santa Barbara. I surprised her and picked her up at LAX and took her to Lollapalooza, the car had been broken into and she got all of her luggage stolen.
