(Goldberg) Of Newton on Monday, February 8, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frank Showstack. Loving mother of Betsy (Showstack) & Alan Young of Brookline and Mitchell & Arlene Showstack of Randolph. Adored grandmother of Roger & Thea Showstack, Frank & Nicole Showstack and great grandmother of Matthew, Dylan and Max. Dear sister of Marion Stone of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and the late Anna L. Zitter. Most special aunt of Margie & Ed Kahn, Diane & Mark Goldman, and Marcia & Mike Finsterwald. Also survived by many devoted great-nieces and great-nephews. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., BROOKLINE on Friday, February 12 at 10:30am. Burial in the Hebrew Volin Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury. Memorial observance at the home of Margie & Ed Kahn immediately following the burial through 4:30pm and continuing Sunday from 12-4pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly, 30 Wallingford Rd, Brighton, MA 02135-4753.

OH MY DEAR SWEET FUNNY BEAUTIFUL SELMA! I RETURNED HOME FROM A TRIP TO HEAR OF YOUR PASSING-- SUCH AN INCREDIBLE LOSS OF SUCH A FINE LADY AND FRIEND.I MISS YOU IMMENSELY AND HAVE MANY INCREDIBLE MEMORIES OF OUR FUN TIMES TOGETHER EVEN WHEN YOU WEREN'T FEELING WELL (AND WEREN'T WEARING YOUR BUTTERFLY) YOU SOLDIERED ON WITH SUCH STRENGTH AND LOVE.MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO BETSY AND ALAN,MITCHELL AND ARLENE, MARGIE AND ED AND ALL YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY. Mitch and Arlene, it has been enriching to know many of the Showstacks and a special delight to great Selma over the many years visiting the Zitters and Margie & Ed. We didn't see her often but it was comforting to know we might. Our loss is His gain.
