Not sure what to say?

Sending love and condolences to the entire Welborn family. I know hearing from him last week before he passed meant so much to my mom Sharon. I have such fond memories of Uncle Jack visiting us at my grandparent’s house in San Dimas, CA when I was little. I remember being in absolute awe of him and recall listening to him in my grandparent’s living room talk about everything he was working on (on this particular visit prison reform). I use to look at his campaign memorabilia they kept in...

Jack was first and foremost one of my Dad’s best friends. He was always supportive of each of my siblings and attended each of our weddings. As a kid, his anti-tax political flyers were posted proudly on my bedroom door. Jack gave me my first opportunity in politics, as a college intern. He was a staunch pro-life advocate and for the unheard voices in Lansing. But my greatest memories will always be his incredible sense of humor!!

In loving memory of a wonderful man. We will miss you. Always have many memories from years gone by.

Sincere condolences to the Welborn family. Jack was a tremendous supporter and advocate for quality public mental health services in Kalamazoo County and the State of Michigan. A person of great integrity with a clear vision and gentle heart. A powerful legacy with the State legislature that created positive improvements in the quality of life in our community.

Jack was a real mentor to many of us that were just entering public office years ago. He was also not one to mince words if he felt there was a need for direction for those of us that looked up to him. I have many great memories of Jack over the years and his dedicated service to our state. There are few that ever worked as hard as he did in elected office.
To Dorthy and family we will keep you in our prayers as you go through this difficult time of grief. May Jack Rest In Peace for...

I worked for Sen. Welborn many years ago and will always remember his honesty , willingness to speak out, and his concern for those he served. If even a fraction of the elected officials today had his conviction and courage, we would be much better off. He was a great man.

So sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Welborn's passing. Sending our deepest condolences to your family.

I am sorry for the family's loss. Jack was a person that touched a lot of lives mine included. As a yuongster, Jack would take a bus full of East Cooper Elementary kids to Richland so we could use the school gym there. He started and led a junior firefighter program in Cooper Township, and as a Senator he helped my father in a compensation issue. Jack allows had a smile and was always willing to talk. May he rest in peace
