Serge D'Rovencourt was exceptionally kind to me and my partner during my years as founding editor of the Downtowner, in Portland. He invited us to many events during the Portland Rose Festival and other occasions. He made us feel welcome and was generous of heart. He was one-of-a-kind as a person and as a hotelier. He has a wonderful family. - Maggi White

Serge was to Wil and I one of the kindest people I have ever met. He and his family are wonderful people and I think...

I knew Serge through emails only. We seemed to form a bond because of our similar out look on life and current events. He was a kind and giving person, and I'm sorry that I never had the chance to meet him in person.

Serge and Magaly have been my cherished friends for over forty years. It is with great sadness I've learned of his passing. Their sharing of their lives with me has been one of my greatest blessings. My condolences to Magaly, Lisette, Jacques, Michelle and grandchildren in the loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He adored all of you and was so very proud of each one of you. May he rest in peace. May his family take great comfort and joy in having had him so central in...
