Not sure what to say?

Such a kind ,gentle spirit. We travelled together for many years in Asia. He taught me not only furniture design but kindness

So sad to come across this. Seth was one of the people who attracted me to RISD, and though I didn't end up in the furniture program, I remember him from a winter session class. He was very talented and a great mentor. I'm sure he will remain an inspiration for all who knew him, and for those who will learn of him through his lasting contributions.

i was looking up old friends today, march 20 was shocked and saddened to find Seth,s obituary i was a very close friend of the stem family when i lived in Allentown in the 80"s and 90"s and my heart goes out to them at this time of heartbreaking loss-love you Seth-god bless

Pamela, David and family, Seth was an inspirational teacher and mentor to both me and then my son Wyatt 25 years later. He taught us and guided us through many facets of life and design and throughout all the lessons he became a true friend.

We will miss you Seth, and we will never forget the moments, the lessons and the friendship that we shared.

Your old friend -Everett

Seth, you will be missed and your kindness and generosity will be within forever. You were well loved at RISD. Lili

Big hugs to Pam and David, my deepest condolences to the entire family. Seth had an exquisite way of seeing potential and making unique spaces. He was also a great teacher and mentor to many. I'm so sorry to hear he has passed so early. There are too many cruel illnesses in this world. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to be one of Seth's students at RISD back in 2005. When I was ill, he was very understanding and made sure I put my health before my education. Seth was a good soul. He...

Gone but not forgotten...Your light will always shine bright,Rest in peace!!

Dear Pamela,
dear family and friends of Seth,

I met Seth in 2012 at a conference organized by him at RISD, followed by one of the nicest dinners I can rememebr at your beautiful home in Providence. I will never forget the wine and good talks we had overlooking the river. I myself just had gone through some changes and difficult times in my own life, including losing a loved one. So, the kindness, honesty, passion and warmth of meeting Seth and the people around him made me feel...

I am so saddened to hear how ill Seth was and of his passing, my deepest condolences to Pam and the Stem family. I knew him to be a very kind, curious and talented man when he lived in Warren. This sweet picture of him is a perfect way to remember him, Godspeed
