Not sure what to say?

Word of Sever's death has left De De and me deeply saddened. When I first met this amiable southerner in the early 1960's, I immediately liked him.

As Democrats in South Dakota's most Republican county, we enjoyed many partisan activities and events together.

Tributes to Sever and condolences to his family prove that BHSU and the Black Hills community loved him and his family.

Farewell, old friend!

It's been a long time since I've seen my Uncle Sever. I miss seeing my family. Uncle Sever was a good man and I have fond memories of him.

I know he is enjoying catching up with all of his family who have passed before him.

May he rest in peace!

Ruth, Lionel, Dixie and all the Eubank family,
Peter and I truly consider ourselves blessed to have made the acquaintance, which grew into friendship, with you and Sever after moving to Spearfish. We have often imagined how enjoyable and stimulating classes, civic and political discussions, and competitions must have been with Sever and Ruth. We belonged to one of the coffee groups that Sever belonged to, and always enjoyed his company with the group - he will be missed. Our deepest sympathy and prayers for all his family.

Among many others, I too treasured Sever Eubank as mentor and friend. I will never forget how he positioned his cigar on the black board chalk tray, and with a smile, began the days class work. He would come to mind from time to time over the years. These memories were always pleasant.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
