Severt was born on February 15, 1928 and passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Severt was a resident of Hawarden, Iowa at the time of passing. He grew up near Hawarden, Iowa and graduated from Pleasant Hill Country School. He bravely served his country after being drafted into the army during the Korean War in January of 1951. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Lebanon Christian Reformed Church rural Sioux Center, Iowa with Pastor Cory Van Sloten officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. One Great Milestone for Sievert was that he got to see a relative play in the NFL.

Whispering Love Arrangement - BASKET INCLUDED

Uncle "Sip" worked for my Dad, Leonard, in the late 40's and early 50's prior to him going into service. He lived in our house during those years. He was home on leave from the army when he was notified to report back for duty. I remember his coming to our country school to say "Goodbye". Aunt Christina was with him.

Marilyn and I had a good visit with Uncle Sip and Aunt Christina last November. We have fond memories of that visit.
