Dear Shelley and Mitch,
Dear Jeff,
Dear Padnos family,

He sailed away! Ill never forget Seymour, as he was my first Jewish customer in 1973. So, as a German, I was very much afraid before the first contact. No problem at that time and never ever later-on. It was always a pleasure to talk to a skilled and respectful business person. He loved his family, his business, and the community he lived-in. I was very proud, that Seymour asked me to see him again, 5 years ago....

Seymour Padnos was a man of integrity and generosity. He was a kind and gentle soul, a man that always shared a smile and displayed a most-humble demeanor. Though he was short in stature, he had the biggest heart and I will always remember how special he made me feel.

I met Seymour when working for The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area. I helped him track and distribute a portion of his annual philanthropic giving to various charities in the Holland area and beyond....

Mitch, Karen, and family, we enjoyed having met your dad! As a sailing enthusiast, he was interested in our boat which Doug had described as a Tartan at the end of Z dock, to which he replied, I know your boat and Im glad you did that. He went on to say that he had considered buying one earlier in his life, regretted that he had not, and was happy for us. What a gentleman! Losing a parent is a unique emotion, and we wish for you the Peace that surpasses all understanding.

Seymore told me more than once how well Hope College treated him and how well all his Fraternity brothers did as well. He was concerend at first that his Jewish faith might make him an outlier to a conservative Reformed Church College, yet that never happend. I am pretty sure he was the very first...

Dear Shelley and Bill,
I have warm memories of both of you from our school days. Shelley, so many warm memories of going to get hot chocolate at the little laundromat by E E Fell Junior High during our year book class at which I learned hearts and Euchre.
Bill, High School summer memories of packs of friends at the beach and doing various things together give me warm thoughts of you.
So sorry for your loss. We miss our fathers no matter what age they go.
I moved back to...
