Not sure what to say?

Sy combined a sharp mind, a gentle manner, and a dry wit. He was an excellent teacher and even better role model to those of us privileged to study the impossible profession with his guidance. May peace be upon his family.

Sy was a kind and thoughtful psychiatrist who "guided" patients with the fewest number of precise, well-chosen words. May his memory always be a blessing.

Sy was an important member of the Virginia Psychoanalytic Society for many years. His commentaries were valued and always astute. It´s very sad for me to hear of his passing, and I wish the best for his family. Jerome S Blackman MD , Virginia Beach , past Pres, Virginia Psychoanalytic Society

He contributed to so many people...

A deeply loving man.
