Not sure what to say?

To the Toll family I express my condolences and profound sadness at hearing of the passing of Spence. He was an extraordinary human being and I will forever treasure my memories of him and his family. Ateshé Firouz

So sorry for you loss, my Dad Charles Taylor always enjoyed talking to Spence at his restaurant on Sansom street. He was a great guy, very sweet, always cheerful. He will be missed.

I just heard about Spence's passing. I was a neighbor in Bala Cynwyd who would see Spence running (walking?)just about every day from his home to the track at the Cynwyd school. I also knew Spence as a wise, funny and hugely respected member of Philadelphia's legal community. I am sorry I missed the memorial service to this very special man. My condolences to his family.

My deep deep condolences to the Toll family. I worked with Mr. Toll at Toll & Ebby, many many years ago. I think of him often and about his wonderful girls playing their instruments and his trips to Kennebunkport. Wonderful boss. He will be greatly missed.

My condolences to Spence Toll's family. I will miss reading his columns in the Inquirer. I didn't know him, personally, yet he felt like a friend. I know he will be missed by his family, of course, but also, by all of the people he reached through his writing.

Rest in peace, my friend.

A man of many talents and interests. Generous and loving; thoughtful and kind. Please accept my sincere condolences.
