I was looking today at the La Prairie Golf Course Webpage and saw that Shahid had made a hole in one in 2008. He never mentioned it to his golf partners. I played a number of rounds of golf with Shahid over the last number of years before he passed. For sure the word that comes to mind when I remember him is "gentleman".

Hello all, we published an essay on Shahid in The Globe and mail today and would like to share it with you. Abba, we miss you more and more all the time.

We had known each other since 1966 and worked together in Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority for more than 6 years. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He has gone to heaven, we are waiting in line, to follow him. My sympathies are with the bereaved family. I would feel honoured to be of any service to them as and when needed.
